Costa Verde

Costa Verde Tourism Center (El Castaño)

The Costa Verde EcoHostel, also widely known as “El Castaño” (the original name of the ranchería where it is), is located at the heart of the La Encrucijada Biosphere Reserve, surrounded by the highest mangroves of the American Pacific Ocean. At Costa Verde you can take guided tours through mangroves and estuaries, in routes like “El Aguaje” and “El Silencio”; where you will have the opportunity of having a close encounter with crocodiles, hundreds of migratory and resident birds, lizards, and some mammals from the Coastal Wetlands. This Ecotourism Center offers the services of accommodation, restaurant, kayak rentals, and transportation to nearby beaches, like Barra Zacapulco.
