María Hernández

María Luisa Hernández Carapia, an educator in senior management, has organized environmental and recycling workshops for diverse age groups and led community cleanup campaigns in Nayarit. She founded "Sin bolsa por favor," an initiative that significantly reduced plastic bag usage in Punta Mita and its surroundings. Maria also participated in "Mita Recicla," an initiative focused on waste reduction and recycling awareness. Currently, she leads the expansion of Ocean Connectors programs in Mexico, recently reaching a record audience of more than 2,300 students from 16 towns in the state of Nayarit.
