Mauricio Cuevas Avendaño


He is a biologist graduated from the University of Veracruz, Mexico. He has collaborated in projects of reintroduction of parrots since 2014. and later, as a consultant for the World Parrot Trust. He arrives in Honduras in 2016. Since then, he serves as Flora Fauna and Environment Manager of Macaw Mountain Bird Park in Copan Ruins, developing the programs of Rescue, Rehabilitation, Reproduction and Reintroduction of the birds of the park, with particular emphasis on the Ara macao and other species of psittacines. His consulting work with the WPT continues, collaborating in reintroduction projects in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.
