Yaxchilán Archaeological Site

The Monumento Natural Yaxchilán Natural Protection Area is located in the northeastern portion of the Lacandon Jungle, on the shore of the Usumacinta River. It has an extension of 2,621 hectares covered with Tropical Rainforest, in which the Mayan city of Yaxchilán is immersed. In this site, 494 species of resident and migratory tropical birds have been recorded.

Opening hours: Monday through Sunday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Price of an excursion: $3,800.00 per person.
